Vivencial Poetry

Biodanza and vivencial writing invites us not only to express our aesthetic sensibility when it comes to art, but to experience the beauty of every human being and express it with words. It is about perceiving life and the other in all its depth, in her or his most positive aspects in order to increase our capacity for love and understanding. Rolando Toro gave it the name of aesthetic anthropology.

In philosophy, poiesis (from Ancient Greek: ποίησις) is "the activity by which a person brings about something that did not exist before, thus creating.

In the Symposium, a Socratic dialogue written by Plato, Diotima describes how mortals strive for immortality in relation to poiesis. In all begetting and producing the beautiful there is a kind of creation. In this becoming there is a movement beyond the time cycles of birth and decay. "Such a movement can occur in three kinds of poiesis: (1) natural poiesis through sexual reproduction, (2) poiesis in the city through the attainment of heroic fame, and, finally, (3) poiesis in the soul through the cultivation of virtue and knowledge.
